Business logo I created for a woman starting a house cleaning service. She's a longtime client at the screen printing shop I work at, so I was able to work with her in creating this logo, which will be used on t-shirts and other materials.

Andrew Bird Poster

Here's a poster for Andrew Bird's 2012 fall tour I did for another Creative Allies contest. I originally had a completely different idea, but it wasn't until I was pretty far along with that I realized it wasn't working, so I scrapped it and started with a completely different concept. I'm glad I did it, too, because I'm pretty pleased with the way this one came out.

CounterPoint Poster

Concept poster for an upcoming electronic/dance music festival, CounterPoint, held in Atlanta. The theme they wanted for the poster was "Industry Meets Nature". This design is meant to represent the 'spirit' of industry and nature more than the things themselves. When I think of industry, I think of straight lines, geometric shapes and repetition, as found in skyscrapers, machine parts, etc. Nature, of course, is represented here as being very colorful and free-flowing.

Michael Kiwanuka Poster

Okay, I haven't been doing a very good job keeping up with this blog so far... I'll try to do better. Right now, when I'm not at work (and sometimes even when I'm at work) I'm working feverishly on entries for various Creative Allies contests. (If you're a designer or illustrator and haven't joined yet, you should. It's pretty rad.) There are plenty of contests going on all the time, with sweet prizes, so there's plenty you can do. I'm just having a blast coming up with designs for CD covers and music posters. Anyway, here's something I made recently. It's a tour poster for the musician Michael Kiwanuka.
